History:
In 1883, railway surveyors appeared at Rock Point. One among these surveyors, David Loring, was employed with the Oregon and California Railroad. He called this city Medford, and paid tribute to his place of birth, which was Medford, MA. In the year1884, the railway arrived here and a flourishing town was rapidly created. In the year1905 Medford was established as a city. The early days of the 20th Century, saw a construction of a steel bridge across Bear Creek. This bridge made transportation services a lot safer and easier for citizens.
