Many well-known companies have their headquarters in Irving, including Kimberly-Clark, ExxonMobil, La Quinta, Michaels and Chuck E. Cheese. Like the rest of the country, Irving has been adversely affected by the slump in the economy, but by 2010 the city's budget is in good shape. City officials worked hard to cut costs across the board and to increase revenues in areas where they could. he cost of living in Irving is more than 10 percent lower than that of the average city in the U.S. The unemployment rate there is almost two percentage points below the national average. With employment opportunities on the rise, it's no wonder why Irving moving companies are so busy.
