Former CA home of Williams-Sonoma CEO W. Howard Lester on the market

October 5, 2012 - While the late CEO of Williams-Sonoma, W. Howard Lester may not have been considered a celebrity in Los Angeles, the big-ticket Holmby Hills estate previously owned by him is making headlines. The property was last sold for $17.5 million in 2004, while news reports say buyers can begin moving boxes into the Tuscan-style estate after paying $29.95 million.

The LA area mansion offers more than 18,000 square feet of living space including seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, perfect for buyers with a large family or who frequently have lingering guests. The home also provides 1.35 acres of land for ultimate privacy and outdoor activities, while the swimming pool and cabana provide a great escape from the California heat.

As predictable, the home is extravagently designed, featuring a library, a wine cellar, a fitness center and a top-of-the-line kitchen. Lester's reported love for cooking likely prompted him to make the upgrades in the kitchen throughout his time living there.

In addition to the massive main house, buyers may use the guest house as a makeshift storage unit for extra furniture.
