September 10, 2012 - While sports news sites are buzzing about this year's baseball season, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez is also making headlines after listing his home in Miami for sale. Realtor.com reports he may be calling for
movers after listing the home he purchased for $24 million with a much higher asking price of $38 million.
The enormous waterfront home offers 19,861 square feet of living space including nine bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and luxuries suitable for any professional athlete. Some notable features of the property include a top-of-the-line security system with 16 cameras, a billiards room and a separate 3,000-square-foot sports facility.
Outdoor amenities that will likely prompt buyers to start packing
moving boxes include a private dock, a large outdoor kitchen and patio and an enormous infinity pool. Photos of the home showcase its modern design, made up of floor-to-ceiling glass windows, squared terraces and out-of-the-ordinary light fixtures.
While it has not been reported where A-Rod will be relocating to, he may purchase another home in a warm climate to escape to during New York's cold winters.
