September 13, 2012 - Celebrity real estate sites have noted that actor Johnny Depp recently dropped $4.4 million for a home in Minnesota that he won't ever be
moving boxes into. According to sources, he purchased the property for his ex-love interest Vanessa Paradis and their children.
The Mediterranean-style estate offers 5,800 square feet of living space including five bedrooms and five bathrooms and is located near their children's current schools. It offers plenty of privacy, as it sits in Laurel Canyon on the star-studded Mulholland Drive. Depp reportedly acquired the home for a bit of a discount as it was originally listed for $4.65 million.
The property was originally built in 1990 but may undergo some upgrades to compare the former couple's estates in France, and especially the private island in the Bahamas Depp purchased in recent years. While the famous actor won't be hiring
moving services to transport his own items, his extensive list of movie success will likely help when furnishing the Hollywood Hills home.
