September 27, 2012 - As many still mourn the death of actor Ernest Borgnine, they may have the chance to purchase his longtime home in Beverly Hills if they can afford the $3.395 asking price. It shouldn't be long before someone is
moving boxes into the historic Hollywood home, as it is a prime piece of real estate in the area.
The English manor sits off the affluent Mulholland Drive above the city, occupying a half acre of land offering views of the San Fernando Valley with the privacy necessary for celebrities. With 6,148 square feet of living space, the home features six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and the contemporary design of architect L.G. Scherer. Some notable features of the home include a large library, a separate office space, a den, a guest house and a swimming pool.
Borgnine is best known for his role in Marty, which won him an Oscar in 1955, while he also appeared on the television series McHale's Navy and lent his voice to the animated kids show SpongeBob SquarePants. Some of his other credits include The Wild Bunch, The Dirty Dozen and numerous other television series.
