May 25, 2011 - The Eagle Rock, California house that hosted Matt Damon and Ben Affleck while they were writing the screenplay for Good Will Hunting is ready to welcome the
moving company,
While the two Boston-bred stars can now afford to live sans roommates, Damon and Affleck shared the home when they first dove into
cross country moving in pursuit of their Hollywood-themed dreams. The friends eventually went on to win an Oscar for best original screenplay for their work on Good Will Hunting.
The French-Nordic-style, four-bedroom, two-bathroom home sits on land that was once part of a 19th century farm. Built in 1923, the property features a library, living room with fireplace and a loft. There is a gated drive, stone steps leading up to the front door and a detached garage. Arched windows overlook a cityscape that is peppered with greenery and stone and hardwood floors are found throughout the house, according to Red Fin.
Now listed for $899,000, the property is great for small families or aspiring actors who hope to catch some of the Hollywood gold Damon and Affleck may have left behind.
