State Flower: The orange blossom is Florida's state flower. It was made so through a Concurrent Resolution of the Florida state legislature in 1909.

State Song: "The Swanee River" (Old Folks at Home) was written by Stephen C. Foster in 1851. It replaced "Florida, My Florida" as the state song on May 25, 1935.
