August 21, 2012 - Unlike many Hollywood celebrities who have been making real estate headlines, actor Mark Wahlberg won't be
moving boxes into an already-existing home in Los Angeles, as he and his wife are building their dream home in a gated community in Beverly Hills.
Wahlberg sold his Mediterranean-style home in Beverly Hills earlier this year for $13 million, but is moving back to Southern California as soon as the mansion is completed.
While the previous home offered 2,500 square feet of living space, the soon-to-be finished estate will have more than enough space with 30,000 square feet of living space. While the layout has yet to be revealed, it will surely have more than the five bedrooms found in the previous house.
Sources report that the Hollywood couple purchased the vacant lot in 2009 for $8.25 million and aerial photos reveal there will be a main house, guest house and an oversized swimming pool upon completion. One feature that may also be included in the mansion is an in-home movie theater, as Wahlberg continues his career in the film industry as an actor, creator and producer.
