March 15, 2012 - Crain's reports that Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose was recently added to the list of celebrities living in the Trump International Hotel and Tower. He is reported to have paid $2.8 million for a unit on one of the building's top floors.
Rose bought condo the just before signing a contract extension with the NBA team worth $95 million and seems ecstatic to continue playing in the city he was born and raised in. Before playing professionally, Rose played for the University of Memphis.
The unit is said to have more than 3,000 square feet of living space including three bedrooms and comes with two parking spots. Crain's reports that Rose is not the only athlete living in the building as Chicago Blackhawks player Patrick Kane bought a unit in 2008 and former Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman bought it back in 2008 but sold it in 2010. He reportedly chose the Trump Tower over other luxury options because it offered the most privacy.
After an interview with the basketball player, Crain's notes one of his favorite parts about
moving into the building is the panoramic views he has of the city.
