August 27, 2012 - Shortly after news broke that John Legend's two-bedroom NYC condo has found buyers, the New York Post reports he may be moving into another New York City home. The paper's celebrity news column says he has purchased a downtown home that was originally listed for $2.55 million for just under $2.5 million.
Legend began his music career back in 2001 and has worked with a number of artists including Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West and Mariah Carey. He has won nine Grammy Awards and has been recognized by the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
According to the Post, Legend's new home is located on Broome Street in a 19th century building. With 1,969 square feet of living space, the home has one bedroom and two-and-a-half spa-inspired bathrooms. Other notable features of the estate that may have prompted the celebrity to start
moving boxes in include the open floorplan, fireplace, gourmet kitchen and all the natural light supplied by oversized windows that also offer a view of the city.
While it has not been reported if he will be using
movers, he may be profiting from the sale of his slightly larger home in the Bowery.
