September 24, 2012 - Those interested in
moving boxes into a mega mansion in the Northeast may be excited to hear Dorrance Hamilton, heiress to the Campbell Soup Company, may be calling to compare estimates from
moving companies. Her home was last purchased in 1998 for $3.725 million, according to public records, however Realtor.com reports she has listed the waterfront property with a $15.75 million price tag.
Located in the posh Price's Neck Cove, Rhode Island, the mansion, also known as Wildacre sits on just under two-and-a-half acres of land and offers 8,179 square feet of living space including six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. According to the source, the estate was constructed in 1902 but has since been heavily renovated to bring its design up-to-date.
While the home has numerous features that will surely have buyers calling for
movers, some more notable ones include the exposed beam ceilings, built-in amenities, floor-to-ceiling windows, open doorways and an infinity pool that appears to flow right into the ocean. The expansive outdoor living space is perfect for celebrities who like to get out of the limelight, but don't want to compromise luxury living.
