July 25, 2012 - Celebrity real estate blog The Real Estalker reports that writer Michael Cunningham may be calling for
movers, as his Union Square apartment in New York City has been listed for sale. While it has not been reported how much he paid for the property back in 2004, it has appeared on the market with a $1.595 million asking price.
According to the source, the unit is located in a very urban-chic building and his particular unit is invaded by natural light through oversized windows. It offers around 1,300 square feet of living space including just one bedroom and two bathrooms, but the open floor plan combined with modern decor makes the space seem much larger via photos posted on The Real Estalker.
Upgrades in the kitchen include polished concrete floors, which are complemented by bamboo cabinets and stainless steel appliances. There is also a library in the largest bathroom, which buyers
moving boxes in could use as basic shelving.
Cunningham is best known for writing The Hours, whose film adaptation won an Oscar. Other popular novels include By Nightfall and Specimen Days, while the source notes he also co-wrote the screenplay for Evening, starring Meryl Street, Claire Danes and Glenn Close.
