July 5, 2012 - News sources say famed animator Andy Heyward and his wife Amy may be calling for
moving services, as their Hollywood Hills home has been listed for sale. Public records show the couple purchased the home in 2010 for $4.75 million, but it has reappeared on the market with a $7.85 million asking price.
Heyward is credited for creating Inspector Gadget and was formerly the head of the animation production company DIC Entertainment, but left when it was sold in 2008. He has since founded A Squared Entertainment with his wife.
The home, built in 1966, sits on more than half an acre of land and has plenty of outdoor amenities that should prompt buyers to call for
movers, including a swimming pool. Inside, the house offers 3,560 square feet of living space with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and has other notable features including a private screening room, a library, an office and an in-home gym.
While it has not been reported where the Hollywood pair will be moving boxes to, they may stay on the west coast, where many production companies do business.
