February 16, 2012 - Sources report that the famous recording getaway also known as Shangri-La, used by Grammy-winning singer Adele, is now looking for buyers. The piece of property which was used by the star when recording much of her record-setting album and also played host to her music video has been listed for sale for $44.1 million by music producer Rick Rubin.
The studio provides more than a great place to lay down tracks with a total 77,000 square foot lot while the estate itself offers 4,400 square feet of living space including four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Some other well-known musical talents who have called this ranch home while recording include Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Weezer, the Beastie Boys and Johnny Cash.
The property is a house turned recording studio and has passed through the hands of numerous music producers including Rob Fraboni who sold the home to Rubin for a reduced $2 million, but was reportedly built by actress Margo Albert. Adele temporarily called the place home,
moving boxes into the home last September while making the award-winning album 21.
While it has only been listed a short while, source say the home-turned-studio will likely have a celebrity or musician calling for
moving services soon.
