February 21, 2012 - After a somewhat surprising announcement of their recent divorce, sources report that pop star Katy Perry is
moving out of the home previously she previously shared with soon-to-be ex-husband Russell Brand.
The couple reportedly purchased the home in Manhattan back in September 2010 for $2.75 million just before getting married, and the singer has listed it for sale for the same price they paid for less than two years ago.
The singer-songwriter has been nominated for a Grammy eight times and is the winner of an American Music Award. Perry has also lent her voice to some animated films including the character Smurfette in the recent film The Smurfs.
Brand is an actor and comedian and has starred in a number of movies including Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek. While the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement, it has not been reported how they will divide the earnings from the sale.
The home is located in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan and reportedly offers 1,500 square feet of living space including two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Other noted features include a cherrywood staircase, heated floors and terraces with views of the city.
Source have yet to reveal if Perry will be
moving boxes back to the west coast, as she is originally from Southern California.
