August 10, 2012 - Celebrity real estate blog The Real Estalker reports that American soccer goalie Hope Solo has purchased a home in Washington, while preparing to win a second Olympic gold medal in London. The sources reports she actually purchased the mansion for $1.2 million in April.
She shouldn't have trouble finding room to display the medals, as the southern-style home has 5,330 square feet spread out on the two levels, including four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Located in the quiet town of Kirkland, the oversized home offer plenty of privacy, as well as views of the city and surrounding lakes. Other notable features of the home include hardwood floors, windowed walls, a gourmet kitchen and plenty of other upgrades.
To help Solo keep in shape, the home has a lap pool complete with a spa and cabana lounge for relaxing after practice. The blog notes this is her second real estate investment in Kirkland, as she purchased a much smaller, 1,090-square-foot home in 2005 for $259,000.
While it has not been reported if she began
moving boxes in before leaving for London, she has plenty of outdoor room for hosting a celebration after the big win at the Olympics.
