February 6, 2012 - Real estate site Curbed reports that Stephen Starr, famous restaurateur of Philadelphia, has recently listed his home in the city for $2.5 million.
Starr is a well-known chef and has gained popularity in Philly with his multiple restaurants including The Continental, Pod, El Vez and The Dandelion. He has also opened doors in Florida, New York City and Atlantic City. More recently, he served as a guest judge on television's Top Chef.
According to the source, the real star of the property is the kitchen. Curbed reports It was designed by Joanne Hudson and has a very modern appeal including a large red refrigerator which compliments the matching countertops.
Aside from the heart of the home, the source reports it has 6,000 square feet of living space including three bedrooms and five bathrooms. Other features of the home include limestone flooring, tall ceilings and a Zen garden view.
It has not been reported where Starr and his family will be moving to, but with successful restaurants across the country, he may be hiring a
moving company from out of state.
