February 7, 2012 - Real estate records show that baseball star Matt Cain may be hiring a
moving company, as he recently listed his home in San Francisco for sale at $1.795 million. The Huffington Post reports that he purchased the home back in 2008 for $2.05 million and originally listed it in September for a price of $1.95 million.
Cain could be preparing to leave San Francisco as the news source reports he will become a free agent in 2013. The top-rated pitcher has yet to be offered a long-term extension to stay with the team which could have many San Francisco Giants fans upset.
The listing for the home states it offers 2,815 square feet of living space including four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Other features of the mid-century home include floor-to-ceiling windows with views of both the city and the bay, a top-of-the-line kitchen and a solarium.
It has not been reported where Cain plans on
moving to, but he shouldn't have a problem finding a place he can afford given his reported $15 million salary this year.
