January 24, 2012 - Sources report that Yankee player Alex Rodriguez has successfully flipped his condo in the Rushmore building in New York. The baseball star purchased the condo for $5.5 million in 2011, originally listed it in October at $8 million and records show he has now signed a contract with buyers ready for movers.
Rodriguez is the third baseman for the Yankees but started playing with the Seattle Mariners in 1993. He later played for the Texas Rangers and after being dubbed the American League's Most Valuable Player he was traded to New York.
The home takes up the entire 35th floor of the 41-story condominium with 3,600 square feet of living space including five bedrooms. Other features of the unit include a library, gallery, wood floors, chef's kitchen, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the Hudson River, the George Washington Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.
It has not been reported who will be moving boxes into A-Rod's former home but the MLB star will likely stay in one of his other condos in New York City.
