October 1, 2012 - Realtor.com reports Golden Globe nominee Matthew Modine may be comparing
moving companies, as his duplex in New York City has been listed for sale. Public records don't show any information regarding how much he paid for the home, but those looking to start
moving boxes in can do so after matching the $2.29 million asking price.
According to the home's official listing, the duplex was constructed in 1912 but has undergone major renovations to keep the home modern, including the addition of Nordic Ash hardwood floors, imported ceramic tiles and a top-of-the-line kitchen with limestone flooring and a sleek design.
With 1,668 square feet of living space, the small but spacious loft offers one bedroom and three bathrooms, while an outdoor patio offers additional space for entertaining friends.
While it has not been reported where Modine will be relocating to, he will likely stay in a major metropolitan area. He is likely best known for his role is Stanley Kubrick's film Full Metal Jacket, and Bye Bye Love, while he has also made appearances on multiple television series including Weeds, Law and Order and The West Wing.
