Fresno, California is located in the Central Valley region of the state, known for agriculture.  Fresno is inland, but centrally located between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

It is known as the Raisin Capital of the World.  Agriculture plays a major role in the economy, along with manufacturing, shipping, and finance.  There are also oil and natural gas reseves around the city providing an economic boost.

Fresno has many nearby parks, including Yosemite, the Sierra National Forest, and Roeding Park.
